Prato è una città industriale
cresciuta tumultuosamente e senza controllo sul tessuto rurale
tradizionale della pianura bonificata. Alle soglie degli anni '90
l'espansione è massima e le infrastrutture vengono rafforzate
nell'ottica di un'ulteriore crescita. La città invece si ferma e
lascia tracce incompiute e vuoti di risulta là dove il cemento,
nella sua espansione caotica che a macchia d'olio ha imbevuto gli
interstizi del tessuto rurale, si è infranto come un'onda smorzata
dal vento contrario.
La sovrapposizione casuale di tessuto
rurale (pre '800esco), tessuto moderno (1950-'80) e contemporaneo
('90-2010) lascia una serie di pattern incompiuti e casualmente
sovrapposti.
